The Hall - Revisiting NORMAL

Approached by a client that had a request for an image AND a cushion of time to complete.  Took the REVIT model and threw it in to 3ds Max to see what I had to work with.  The following is what came out.  Looks pretty good to me.  Now it's time to complete the scene.  Completed images to follow soon.

Image update...  traditionally I use a lot of RPCs from Archvision to populate my scene however they didn't have the POP this time.  So I went out to the Immediate Entourage website.  Final image came out pretty good.  We'll see if a "directors cut" comes about.  ENOJY!!!!

And another iteration per client request:

AN OFFICE IN THE WORKS...

My first experience using GI and FG together in Mentral Ray.  Adds detailing to the renderings and I think is actually cutting down on rendering time.

Architect came back with some tweaks.....  so I'll post the final images in the next few days.

SOMETHING NEW - TIERED CLASSROOM

I've been asked to help on a small tiered classroom.  A cool little project....  First Pass using the Mental Ray engine.  Waiting for more material finishes to be selected by the PA.  I'll be posting updated images as the project moves forward......

Added some lighting per the user groups wants.  Fine tuning some things and will have more updates as we keep progressing:

Portfolio Piece: Work in Progress

I see more and more kitchen renderings on the blogs I read.  Sooooo  time for me to add one to my portfolio.  Below is the beginning of my kitchen.  It will take some time for me to complete as billable work takes priority.

ISU - Normal Hall - White Model Animation

It is DONE!  I've been making the computers crunch over the past 5-6 days and now we have this: Normal Hall - White Model Animation

Aside from some modeling conflicts pretty satisfied w/ how this turned out.  Ambient Occlusion is my friend!

Studies... Studies... Studies...

I've had the pleasure of working with arcDESIGN over a long period of time.  Interesting things always come up and this is a great example of one.  Currently we are generating SD images for a courtyard study at one of Indiana's fine universities.  Below are a few of the draft results.

Workflow: REVIT > 3DS Max > Soon Photoshop?

MARKETING VIDEO

I've made an effort to start learning Adobe After Effects.  The following is a link to a work in progress, but hoping to send this out on a "marketing blitz" next week. - http://youtu.be/jexNTATNkDI

TESTING SOME DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES

Using the Ink and Paint shader in 3DS max...  added an ambient occlusion to the Paint side of things.  The following results are interesting....  Both images rendered in less than 3 minutes.

BAPTIST CHURCH, IN

Produced a series of images for a church gearing up for a funding campaign.  Here is one that I doctored up a little.  Working on a small white model rendering as well.  See the quick of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wVHuAy7sk8&feature=youtu.be

Alternate version with a little more "story mode" activated.

TRIBUTE TO IPS WORK

Came across these images today.  Simple goal: Create a camera view that would allow a user group to understand the newly constructed spaces.  All views generated from REVIT.

ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES: IN THE BEGINNING

I've had the pleasure of working with one of my clients since the first thought of starting my own company.  Several of my assisted living facilities images have been generated specifically for them.  I'm extremely grateful for the work they have continually given me.  These are a few additional examples from my earlier posts.

NEAR NORTH SIDE

INTERIOR RENDERINGS

No postings of interior visualizations......  thought that I would post a few.
